Apple Picking Time
This past weekend we went apple picking at Apple Dave's Orchard. It was my first time being at this farm but we loved everything about it. It is not a huge property which was a plus for me so that we didn't have to walk a lot to get to places. They had a beautiful lake at the farm and that is where I got inspired to take some shots. You can go to Dave's farm with a blanket and sit by the lake enjoying the great views and listening to the live music that they have every weekend. The farm is free of charge. They also have different foods and drinks that can be purchased. If you go apple picking a small bag full of apples cost $8 (about 20 apples can fit in the bag), or a large bag goes for $30. I guess it depends on how much you love apples and if you know how to bake yourself a pie. I purchased the small one and thought it was a good amount for my family. Enjoy this season and go apple picking!

Fall's the Season to Be Jolly!
Â
It has been a while since I have posted on the blog and a lot of things have happened since. I went to Spain at the beginning of summer and spent two amazing weeks there. I plan on posting a blog about my trip to Spain in the near future. The summer practically ended the moment school started, and now the fall season is upon us unofficially. I did a photoshoot with this particular outfit because I think it's a great fall outfit. I rarely wear short skirts, but when I saw this one skirt in H&M I had to buy it. I love the fit and the details of the skirt. When I was on my way to pay for it I found this cute shirt. The sleeves make the shirt stand out, and right now many companies are designing different types of styles similar to this shirt. I finalized the look with this wonderful pair of black open top booties from Jessica Simpson that I purchased in DSW. In the near future I will be posting more blogs so stay tuned!

Anniversary Weekend
Our tradition for over a decade now is to go away for our anniversary Weekend. Every year we have tried to go somewhere different. We are going on a big trip at the end of June, so we decided to stay for only one night somewhere close by. I found this cute town called Tarrytown in New York. It is about an hour from Brooklyn. According to my sister an hour drive is not considered a road trip, but since the hubs and I don't like driving far, for us it's considered a road trip. I really loved Tarrytown. We decided to stay at Tarrytown Estate House Estate on the Hudson and we didn't want to leave at all. I had such a relaxing time by the pool reading a book with the hubs, though it was not warm enough to take a dip in the pool (they also have an indoor pool), but that didn't stop us from enjoying the sunny weather. The property at Tarrytown House Estate is large and has such beautiful landscape. We got lost a couple of times trying to find our room, but by the end of the trip we got the hang of it.
WHERE TO EAT
We decided to take an Uber to Main Street (this is where they have most of the restaurants) so that we wouldn't have to drive and struggle searching for parking. The Uber ride was about $9 each way and it was about a 10 minute drive. Since dinner reservations were for 8:45 we decided to get some tacos at The Taco Project and OMG the tacos were so good! We only had one each because we just came in for appetizers before dinner, but we definitely wanted more. After tacos we decided to get some coffee because I was getting tired. We found a coffee shop called the Coffee Labs Roaster. It was one of the best cappuccinos I have had in a while. The cappuccino reminded me of Italy. The coffee shop had live music. We relaxed there until it was time for dinner. Dinner at Bistro 12 was another amazing choice that night. There are these two gentlemen that served us. I think they were the owners of the restaurant. They made sure that we felt comfortable at all times. For dinner I had the Alaskan King Salmon with vegetables and the hubs had pan seared fish. We both agreed that the food was delicious. After dinner you can take a stroll down Main Street. The town is very safe.
In the morning we decided to head back to Main Street to have breakfast. We really couldn't find a breakfast spot on Yelp so we decided to find a place with breakfast sandwiches, but we never made it to the Deli because on our way we passed by Pik Nik, and the smell of Southern BBQ food drew us in. On this particular day Main Street was closed down for a fair that the town was having. The restaurants had tables out on the street. WOW! The food at Pik Nik was delicious, especially the Mac and Cheese. The owner was very attentive to us and everyone around making us feel at home. We had a two-meat platter and we shared it with an extra side dish. This was yet another great place. The hubs and I had a great time over at Tarrytown. We definitely recommend others to pay this little town a visit, either as a couple, with your family, or with friends. There are so many things to do: from eating, to checking out the historic mansions, or simply taking a stroll in the park.

Off the Top
I am going to start off by saying that I am obsessed with off the shoulder tops. For this type of weather you just can't have enough of them, and that is why I have at least five tops. I am trying not to purchase any more tops but I keep running into so many cute ones, and even off the shoulder dresses that it is hard to resist. This off the shoulder top has been my most recent purchase. I went to Target and happened to run into (or so I told the hubby) this top and noticed the the material and how lightweight it is. It is great for warmer days where you can get those sexy shoulders out. Check it out in the link below.

Spring has Begun!
Just like Spring, I am back! In this blog post I would like to share this great sale at GAP. I used to dislike GAP because I didn't think that their clothing, especially their pants were a good fit for my hips. Until recently, my friend Andrea introduced Gap pants to me again, and ever since then I have have been buying their high waisted jeans. She has also introduced me to their dressier work pants. I love them! They fit my body and curves great. This week they have the friends and family sale, which means 50% off the entire store. I got myself a pair of dressy pants and I paired it with an off the shoulder top that I also Purchased at the Gap. For more information click on the links below:

2017
It has been a while since my last blog. I had to take a little break, but now I am back and would like to say Happy New Year. Last weekend that past I was in Puerto Rico celebrating my birthday (thanks to the hubs). It has been over 4 years since I have been in Puerto Rico. I got the chance to see my mother and spend some quality time with her and my family. On one of the days there I decided to wear a skirt jumpsuit with a sleeeves turtle neck. In January Puerto Rico has great weather. The highest temperature it reached was 82 degrees, which I loved because I got to wear sandals with my outfits. I'm looking forward to more trips to Puerto Rico.

Holiday Season
Happy December! This is one of my favorite times of the year. There will be many get togethers coming up this month, and that is what inspired me to do this look. I wanted to do a look that I can wear at simple a dinner party with friends or family. I wore this off white midi skirt with a fine knit sweater. The fabrics on these pieces are light and flow great together. I added a belt to go with the heels, and also a touch of gold with the clutch. In the Woods
There are a lot of sales happening this week since thanksgiving and Black Friday are around the corner. Many stores are having a pre Black Friday sale and I think it is as good as the Black Friday sales, but without all the crowds. I happened to find this cute dress from H&M on sale. I have been wanting to get a dress like this one, and I especially love the opening on the backside of it. One of my favorite features is my back so whenever I find an item that shows it off I purchase it. I would usually wear this type of dress with pumps but I decided to come out of my comfort zone and put on a pair of ankle boots, and I love the way it made the outfit stand out. Remember to shop early if you don't like the crowds. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving alongside your loved ones!

Holiday Season
I found this great dress for this time of the year. It's a perfect dress for either Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Eve. Velvet fabric is in this year therefore you can find shoes, bags, dresses, and even jewelry in that material. The best part about the dress is that you can purchase it for only $19.99 at Zara. Back to Back
From time to time I like to bring a more casual look to my blog, and this is one of those times. I decided to wear these stylish Uniqlo jogger pants that I am in love with. They fit any body type, and they don't get wrinkled like other dressy pants I own. I got inspired to wear them with my new "old skool" vans and this cute open back button down shirt that I purchased from ASOS. I also added my guy friend's jean jacket (thinking of keeping it), which I believe pulled the look together. It's all about the small details we add to our outfits that make the biggest difference to our style. Below I have added the links to the items in this blog. Check them out!

For Any Occasion
In this blog I wanted to post about this pretty and simple dress from Old Navy. I love that I can wear this dress with anything; from heels to sneakers, and each item gives it a different look. I decided to wear the dress with black booties that I purchased from DSW, which went together perfectly. I added a touch of red with the belt from Old Navy and the Ralph Lauren purse from TJMaxx. Altogether it gave me a 70s look. Click on the links below to see moreabout the items in this post.

In Full Bloom
I am the type of person who usually has solid pieces in her closet. I don't really buy things with a lot of designs and patterns, but this fall I have been pushing myself to step out of my comfort zone by introducing different styles into my closet that perhaps in the past I wouldn't have tried. In this post I want to show you that it is okay to venture out of your comfort zone and try new things. I was happy with this pretty see through flower button down long shirt from H&M. Since it is see through I added an under slip dress. You can do so many different styles with this piece; you can add pants underneath as well. I decided to add a belt, but you can also do it without a belt if you desire. During this shoot I couldn't decide which shoes to wear for the post so I went with two different styles. As you can see each one brought out a different look to the outfit. Which one you do like better?
